Why is BLOK Manchester closed?
BLOK Manchester has permanently closed due to the forfeiture of our lease by our landlords, without prior warning or discussion. Despite efforts to resolve the situation, the relationship broke down to a point where trust was lost and no viable way forward remained.
Was the closure due to financial issues?
No. BLOK Manchester was a thriving and profitable site, and there were no financial or operational issues on our side. This was not a decision made by us.
Will BLOK Manchester reopen?
We’re very sad to confirm that BLOK Manchester has now permanently closed. This is not a decision we wanted to make. Nor is it one we expected.
Will a new BLOK site open in Manchester?
There are no immediate plans to open a new site in Manchester. However, we are already speaking with developers about potential future locations and remain committed to returning to the city when the time is right.
What does this mean for anyone with an active class pack or membership?
All memberships and class credits are currently frozen. If you have an active membership or class pack, we’ll be in touch with clear options and support, including any refunds owed.
Why has information not been shared sooner?
The situation unfolded without notice on Sunday 18th late at night, and we’ve been working hard to understand our options and support both our team and community. Once it became clear that there was no path to resolution, we shared this final update as soon as we were able.
