HOURS PER WEEK: We will consider both part time and full time candidates (24-40 hours per week)
ABOUT BLOK: We are BLOK, one of the UK's leading boutique fitness operators. BLOK is an award winning independent fitness studio, offering cross discipline classes for all levels. We opened our first site in Clapton in 2016, expanded it in 2017, opened our Shoreditch site in 2018, BLOK Manchester in 2019 and launched BLOKtv, our online digital offering, in 2020. We are at an exciting stage of our growth journey in the hybrid fitness industry.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: BLOK is looking for an efficient, well-organised and enthusiastic PA to the CEO who is excited to help us scale and grow. This is an integral role in a founder-led organisation, that will provide support to the CEO and other key leadership stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast moving environment and possess an agile attitude to change. We are looking for a confident PA who is not afraid to voice where things could be improved and works proactively to solve problems and implement new processes. Working closely with the CEO, you will have access to sensitive and personal information therefore the need for discretion and integrity is paramount in this role. As you will be working with multiple internal and external stakeholders, being able to build and maintain good working relationships is essential. As a scaling business we are also looking for people with a start up mentality - willing to work across different elements of the business to spot opportunities and help us grow. WHAT IS INVOLVED:
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE CEO
- Effective diary management and management of CEO inbox
- Support the CEO to organise and prioritise busy agenda
- Prepare and provide information for all external and internal meetings, ensuring the CEO is fully prepared ahead of time
- Attend meetings and take accurate minutes when required
- Secretariat to the senior leadership team, providing them with prepared agendas and papers
- Maintain the annual business calendar to organise and support the delivery of business critical meetings
- Support the CEO with company wide communications
- Help to plan company update meetings and strategy events
- Make travel arrangements for CEO as required
- Responsible for handling CEO personal appointments and affairs, including but not limited to: contract and insurance management, banking management, VAT returns, tenant management and other ad hoc requests
- Keep a close eye on the key sources of information the CEO needs to draw from, distilling and regularly updating as necessary
- Help support delivery of Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Sustainability commitments on behalf of the CEO
BOARD SUPPORT
- Manage annual planning and coordination of board meetings
- Support on board papers
- Responsible for collating, printing, and distributing reports in line with deadlines
- Potential to provide greater support to the board over time
- Ensure the CEO is fully prepared for all board and shareholder meetings
- Handle sensitive confidential information with absolute integrity
OFFICE MANAGEMENT
- Maintain the condition of the office and the office etiquette guidelines
- Ensure there is sufficient stationary supplies and maintain other stock levels as required
- Support management of office post
- Troubleshoot tech and hardware repairs and escalate where required to service providers
- Ensure workspace complies with Company Health and Safety policy
- Support social committee where appropriate

- Proficient in Google Suite
- Experience working as a PA in a start up environment preferred but not essential
